Scope 1, scope 2, scope 3… When it comes to climate, these are difficult to miss. But, what is a scope? Find out the explanations in our video.

Whether in industry, high technology, or everyday life, most of our activities involve greenhouse gas emissions that have an impact on the climate. To curb global warming, these emissions need to be limited. But in order to take action, one needs to understand.

It is therefore customary to distinguish between direct emissions, generated by an activity (e.g., the gases emitted by our cars when we use them), and indirect emissions linked to the production, consumption and recycling of what we use (e.g., the emissions generated by the production of the electricity we need at home). In carbon accounting, this translates into three scopes that categorize emissions according to their origin.

Find out more in this video.

In short, scopes help bring greater clarity to environmental impact, and above all, identify the right levers for action.
